Specification
documents are necessary to build a garden accurately, to the intended
design and detail; they dictate exact measurements, materials and
standards of construction of the garden.
The amount of information needed depends on the complexity of the
project. Specifications include, tender documentation
(or quotes), setting out plans, construction drawings (where necessary)
and a written specification document.
Specifications are used in two ways (i) to obtain competitive quotations
from a number of approved landscape contractors and (ii) to provide
all the information required for the chosen contractor to build
the garden.
